In 2017 Cavan, Fermanagh and Monaghan will be hosting the Féile Na nÓg. Shannon Gaels has been chosen to host one of the over seas teams and will be hosts to an U14 Girls team from London.  The Féile competition is a club competition for Football at Under 14 years of age level. Teams from every county in Ireland as well as overseas will be taking part (160 Teams). A local organising committee will be appointed to manage much of the day to day and evening activities, however, hosting is a key part of the ethos of Féile.

The players (2 players per family) and mentors from the London team will stay with members of the host club, and games take place on the our club’s pitch. Host families should be well known to club officials and are required to comply with vetting procedures. You do not need to be a parent of an Under 14 girl to host.  You do need to have spare beds for the girls and a willingness to feed them in mornings and drop the to Shannon Gaels pitch.   It would be a shame to deny our young players the opportunity to play in the national tournament and in order to enter a team we must be a host team.
