There will be a fundraising event for a young Blacklion girl, Mary Philbin, called “A Day for Mary” on Sunday May 12th in Cavan town. The funds raised will help her to continue her cancer treatment in the U.S.A. There is no treatment available for Mary’s cancer here in Ireland and she had to travel to North Carolina to get the necessary medical intervention. The fundraising event will include a 10K walk/run from Cavan Institute at 2pm and a social event that evening at Hotel Kilmore at 8pm.
