    NUI Galway will present a live discussion with representatives of The Barça Foundation and the GAA to explore sport’s role as a tool for good in supporting society – with a particular
    emphasis on the development of life skills such as empathy and identity for young people during Covid-19. Armagh Footballer Caroline O’Hanlon and Dublin Footballer Jack McCaffrey will provide the players’ perspective in an event that will share stories of
    humanity and community engagement as well as exploring future connections needed to cope through sport beyond the first wave of the coronavirus crisis.

This challenge is set up by Danielle Nolan to show her appreciation for the care she received by the coronary care unit in Sligo Hospital. Show your appreciation while getting your exercise in and raising much needed money for those at the front line.

We have been looking for you to get your membership completed since February and in the current climate with the restrictions on raising finances to keep our bills paid such as loan repayments, insurance etc. it is important that membership is collected. We urge you as players and members to support us with this and get your membership completed and help us to continue to provide a service to our community. This includes Shannon Gaels underage players who play with Dernacrieve Gaels. Players must be fully registered prior to participating. Update on Covid-19 virus restrictions

Updated guidelines issued by the GAA and HSE. We are instructed to close Páirc Gaeil Na Siōnainne including walking track and field in Glangevlin until further notice.  We ask everyone to respect this request.

Our Club Lotto is also suspended. We hope to have it back up and running in the not too distant future when all this passes. Our annual ticket holders tickets will be extended to take this into account any games missed. Thanks to everyone for your continued support.

Club Membership. In the current climate with the restrictions on raising finances to keep our bills paid such as loan repayments, insurance all of which have to be paid monthly it is important that membership is collected and paid as soon as possible. We urge you as players and members to support us with this and get your membership completed and help us to continue to provide a service to our community.  This also includes Shannon Gaels underage players who play with Dernacrieve Gaels.
