Ph谩irc Gaeil na Si贸nainne

Background

Ph谩irc Gaeil na Si贸nainne was opened in 1992 and the 500 seater stand was opened in 1999. Re-devopment of the grounds and the laying of a new pitch got underway in 2006 and on 27th April 2008 the redeveloped P谩irc Ghaeil na Si贸nainne was Officially opened.

Brief Club History

Prior to the formation of Shannon Gaels GAA the playing of Gaelic football in our club area was informal and intermittent. Earliest records refer to the ‘Blacklion Sons of MacNean’ team of which little is known. From 1917 a number of local teams representing districts or townlands played against each other with a hay ball.
